Preparation process of new antiseptic calcium propionate:
Method 1: Shells --- Crushing --- Mixing --- Decolorization --- Filtration --- Concentration --- Suction filtration --- Drying --- Finished products
Method 2: Preparation of calcium propionate by direct reaction of eggshell with propionic acid.
Method 3: Shell -- Burning -- CaO -- Reaction -- Filtration -- Concentration -- Suction filtration -- Drying -- Finished product
Method 2 is an industrial production method that not only saves energy, but also reduces cost and is beneficial to environmental protection.
The optimum technological conditions for the direct preparation of calcium propionate from eggshell are as follows:
1.Shell membrane separation conditions: under normal temperature and pressure, use 1% propionic acid aqueous solution as the separating agent, stir for 10min, stand for 15min
The purer eggshell was obtained from the crushed raw material (the fineness after crushing was 0.125mm), i.e. 115 meshes, and the yield of eggshell was 95%.
2. Neutralization reaction conditions: under normal temperature and pressure, the ratio of solid to liquid (mass ratio of solid to liquid) is 1:16, the excess of eggshell powder is 50%, the reaction lasts for 3h, and the product calcium propionate is obtained through separation and purification.
3. Drying and crushing conditions: dry and dehydrate the product in an oven at 120-140 ºC for 120min to obtain white scaly calcium propionate
Crystallization, crushing, passing through a 0.177mm sieve of 70-80 meshes, white anhydrous calcium propionate powder is obtained.
